The recent 14 week ban on the sale of alcohol has had a devastating impact on the South African hospitality, tourism, and wine and beer industries with thousands of jobs lost and businesses threatened. Although the ban has been lifted, the industries remain under very strict regulations and the communities that have been affected are in a hunger crisis. There is still a possibility that the country will have to move to a shut-down again if COVID infections rise.

Key export markets for South African wine are being urged to do what they can to support the industry to help get it back on it's feet by promoting South African wine to their customers.

The fund aims to re-stabilize a severely impacted industry until March 2021 at least by providing financial support to restaurants so that they remain operational and can keep putting food on the table for the huge number of hungry families across South Africa that are suffering from this devastating impact.

RELEASE - WEATHER DEPENDENT	We will evaluate the best route and timing to release your order to arrive safely. There is no charge to hold it for up to 90 days. This will normally be packed in an environmentally responsible pulp shipper. We may decide to use styrofoam if deemed necessary to protect your product. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt.
RELEASE NOW - ICE PACK	We utilize refrigerated transport to a depot nearest your location and then place an ice pack in your box for the last leg. This will last 2 - 24 hours depending on the ambient temperature. This will come in a styrofoam shipper. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt. Note: For environmental responsibility, if we determine no ice pack is required at the time of release, we will pack it in a pulp shipper without ice and adjust your charges accordingly.
RELEASE NOW - NO ICE PACK	We will release your order, if all stock is available, at the first window possible. This option assumes you have decided to forgo any temperature considerations and do not wish to add an ice pack for the last leg. In most cases, this will still go temp controlled to a regional distribution point. You will be sent a waiver notice to confirm your choices before we release it. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt.
