Winemakers Comments
A bright, beautiful salmon pink wine with a peach hue. Subtle nuances of fresh strawberries and cherries with hints of mineral character. The palate reflects the subtle flavors of strawberries, apricots and dark cherries which follow through from the nose. The acidity and fruit is well balanced, leading to a fresh, lively, crisp and dry finish on the palate. The palate has depth and weight, which allows it to be either enjoyed on its own or to be paired with food.

Viticulture
2018/19 was a true winemaker’s vintage. A relatively cold and wet winter gave way to late and disorganized flowering. Our vineyard team had to apply plenty of anticipation and thought to deal with the changing and unusual weather which disrupted the regular pattern of activities. A generally cooler vintage has produced wines with exceptional elegance!

Winery
Named after owners Gerard Holden and Migo Mans, this Franschhoek property was originally developed into a wine farm in 1999. Located in the top, southern-most corner of the Franschhoek Valley, in the embrace of its spectacular mountains, the 22 hectares Holden Manz Wine Estate is situated between the Franschhoek River and Stony Brook at 300 meters above sea level. Today it is a lifestyle destination, boasting five-star guest house and spa, restaurant, picnics by the Franschhoek river, with an art collection housed in the town.
An exclusive grower of red grapes, the Estate only cultivates its top 16 hectares under vineyards, notably Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot resulting in the production of ultra-premium wines made for the discerning wine connoisseur.
