 Olsen Private Vineyards is a family owned and run winery, set on a picturesque farm in the renowned wine region of Paarl, South Africa. The owners are Dr Greg Olsen,entrepreneur-physicist and third civilian to go to the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION in 2005, along with his daughters Kimberly and Krista. The vineyards are nestled between the Klein Drakenstein mountains and receive good doses of African sunshine.It is here that attention to viticulture, time-honored winemaking techniques, and true passion for wine are the driving forces behind these premium quality wines. In true artisan style the wine is hand crafted in a small cellar and matured in oak barrels.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY DETAILS

We are a specialty wine importer and work hard to bring the finest wines in the world to the U.S. Our wines sell out fast - reserve your selections today.

  • A commercial address is strongly encouraged to ensure delivery on the 1st Attempt.
  • Federal law & UPS require an Adult signature (21+ years) at the time of delivery.
  • In stock wines ship immediately if the weather is favorable.
  • Backordered / Preordered wine ships once all wines in your order are in stock. If part of your order is in stock you can request separate shipments (additional fees apply).

To reserve your allocation of wines your credit card is charged at the time you place your order. The Transfer of Title on all orders is in California once processing has been completed. (The order is paid for and in the box.)

WEATHER ADVISORY

  • Wines are stored in California.
  • We include complimentary storage during periods of extreme heat or cold. We will release your wine when temperatures are more favorable, or per your request.

RELEASE - WEATHER DEPENDENT We will evaluate the best route and timing to release your order to arrive safely. There is no charge to hold it for up to 90 days. This will normally be packed in an environmentally responsible pulp shipper. We may decide to use styrofoam if deemed necessary to protect your product. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt.
RELEASE NOW - ICE PACK We utilize refrigerated transport to a depot nearest your location and then place an ice pack in your box for the last leg. This will last 2 - 24 hours depending on the ambient temperature. This will come in a styrofoam shipper. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt.

Note: For environmental responsibility, if we determine no ice pack is required at the time of release, we will pack it in a pulp shipper without ice and adjust your charges accordingly.
RELEASE NOW - NO ICE PACK We will release your order, if all stock is available, at the first window possible. This option assumes you have decided to forgo any temperature considerations and do not wish to add an ice pack for the last leg. In most cases, this will still go temp controlled to a regional distribution point. You will be sent a waiver notice to confirm your choices before we release it. To avoid unnecesary exposure to temperature fluctuations, It is important to receive your order on the 1st attempt.

DURING WINTER MONTHS ALL SHIPMENTS WILL REVERT TO 'RELEASE NOW - WEATHER DEPENDENT' IF YOU ARE IN AN EXTREME COLD AREA, WE MAY REQUEST A WEATHER RELEASE TO BE ACCEPTED PRIOR TO RELEASE.
