Riesling
Riesling is an aromatic grape variety displaying flowery, almost perfumed, aromas as well as high acidity. It is used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet, and sparkling white wines. The Cape Riesling wine tends to be rather full of tannins, and it can develop a rather steely or rusty taste in its youth, although greater maturity can add a warmer, more velvety texture with a hint of honey in the flavor.
